Job description

We are looking for a Ground Steward(ess) for our client, Maastricht Aachen Airport. It is a full-time or part-time job for (minimum) 20 hours per week. As a Ground Stewardess / Ground Steward at MAA you work at different places with different activities. Sometimes you check in passengers who are going on a city trip and the other time you check the travel documents and luggage of passengers going on vacation to the Canary Islands. Furthermore, you scan boarding passes and wish the passengers a pleasant flight! You also work on the platform and accompany passengers while boarding and disembarking from flights. As a ground stewardess/ground steward you must therefore stand firm in your shoes. Furthermore you answer all passengers' questions professionally in different languages.. All in all, a varied, dynamic job at a compact airport! This is initially a temporary position from March until October 31, 2024. If you perform well, there is a good chance that your contract can be extended for another year!

As a Ground Steward(ess), common duties include:
  • Capturing passenger data in local departure control system
  • Labeling luggage
  • Inform passengers regarding arrival and departure times, cancellations, delays, baggage, etc.
  • Answering questions or being helpful in solving practical problems
  • Providing information on baggage etc. and referring (transfer) passengers
  • Scanning boarding passes at the gate and assisting passengers in boarding and disembarking
  • Checking the correct PRM data in the check-in system and supervising PRM passengers
  • Making baggage report (PIR) if a passenger is missing a suitcase or if a suitcase is damaged
What we ask
  • You have a completed MBO education level 3 or 4
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are flexible, including early, late and weekend shifts (working hours between 03:15 and 23:30)
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language in word)
  • Good communication skills, flexible attitude and customer orientation
  • You are available for training on short notice
  • You are in possession of a driver's license B, as there is no good connection with public transport
What we offer
  • A salary of €14 gross per hour excluding benefits
  • Ample allowance (ORT) when working early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends (35% or 80%) which can increase your hourly wage to €25.20 per hour
  • Travel allowance of €0.22 per kilometer (with a maximum of €180 per month)

  • A challenging and varied position of at least 20 to 40 hours per week
  • This is a temporary employment contract until the end of October 2024, which may be extended depending on performance and company economic conditions
