Our Client produces purified water and converts sewage sludge into valuable raw materials and energy.

As a Mechanical Engineer (W) at our Client, you will be responsible for performing maintenance work on various installations of its customers. This includes ensuring the proper operation of pumping stations, IBA's and other installations that we manage in cooperation with partners, mainly municipalities. In practice, this means that you are responsible for maintaining, overhauling and possibly renewing mechanical installations, as well as parts of pumping stations and other installations belonging to the domain of our clients. One day you will work independently, but some of our tasks will also be carried out together with a colleague for safety reasons, among others.

The work in this position will take place in the Susteren-Roermond region.

About the job
  • You are responsible for inspections and preventive maintenance of installations
  • You identify malfunctions, perform analyses and take measures to prevent recurrence
  • You report on your work, proactively preventing not only incidents but also violations of laws and regulations and emergencies
  • You make proposals for operational improvement
  • You register in our maintenance system and take care of the delivery of information for revision of documents. Think of PI&Ds. You do this on time, completely and correctly.
  • You will be on the road a lot, working independently some days and performing tasks (due to safety concerns) with a colleague on other days
What we ask
  • You have technical knowledge and experience in the field of mechanical engineering with a completed related education at the intermediate vocational level
  • You have knowledge of installation technology and measurement and control technology
  • You are aware of the legislation relevant to you and have an understanding of purification technology and (digital) control technology
  • You are proficient in the use of modern ICT and communication tools
  • Affinity and/or work experience with an E-side is a plus
What we offer
  • Depending on education, age and experience, we offer a salary of up to €3,507 gross per month (salary scale 6) or €3,771 gross per month at senior level (salary scale 7) in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement Working for Water Boards full-time
