About the client

Our client produces the world's strongest fiber. It is up to 15 times stronger than metal, and up to 40% stronger than aramid fiber, both by weight. The fiber floats on water and is extremely durable and resistant to moisture, UV and chemicals. It is used in challenging applications and environments, such as supertanker mooring ropes, cut-resistant gloves and clothing in glass and metal industries, equipment and sails for offshore racing yachts, medical sutures for orthopedic surgery, and bulletproof clothing and automotive protection in the police and military sectors. Our client is located in the Parkstad region.

The Challenge

The Day organization focuses on supervising the firms and in-house TD during plant operations. Checking, and issuing work permits is an important part of this position.

In addition, the Day organization handles all work around the spin blocks. This involves the assembly and de-assembly of the blocks, and the administrative handling of these matters in the relevant systems.

The position

De/assemble spinblocks

Administratively process the necessary information in the systems

Joint inspection at all work permits, before, during and after the job

Translating the work for production regarding the maintenance weekly schedule. Making the necessary programs for this.

First sampling prior to the job

Manhole watch and Hot work watch

In cooperation with the work preparation/projects department, prior to small jobs (shorter than 1 week) reviewing the work and helping to prepare permits

Preparing and supervising the Turn arrounds.

The ideal profile

Min. Vapro B training

Training Ex/O2 measuring/manhole guard, hot work guard, (or willingness to follow these)

Knowledge of relevant safety aspects and leads by example (Operation requirements, safety studies). Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques is a plus.

Effective communication with various departments in flag and continuous service.
