Our client in the Roermond area is looking for process operators to control the entire melting process at the furnace (melting temperature 1500 degrees Celsius). You will be responsible for the management of all raw materials needed for the correct composition of the final stone wool package. With this you enable your Line Operator colleagues to produce a high quality semi-finished or finished product. There is a lot involved in becoming a full-fledged process operator or furnace operator. But rest assured, you will not get a baptism of fire but rather a good mix of guidance, knowledge transfer and learning on-the-job!

You will work on the furnace platform of one of the production lines, where you have great responsibility over the melting process from raw material to stone wool. You operate one of the melting furnaces and keep control and overview of the recovery process. Here you melt basalt at a melting temperature of over 1,500 degrees Celsius. From the “lava” flow, the rockwool fiber is pulled and cooled like a sugar rush. You then build the stone wool package to the correct thickness via a 'pendulum', so that it can be processed via a conveyor belt by your Line Operator colleagues into the correct high-quality product (both as a semi-finished and finished product).
